Workout data and backups
Save a copy of your local workout library and understand what a backup does.
The current development app stores your workout records on your iPhone. REPS Pro does not currently provide automatic cloud sync or a server backup of that library.
Create a personal backup
In the current build, open Settings, then Backup & Export. Choose Export Entire Library or Workout Templates Only, review the selections, and generate the backup.
When the file is ready, use Save to Files App... to save the .repsdb file somewhere you can find again. You can also use the available sharing options. Wait for the file to finish saving before leaving the export screen.
A backup is a copy at the time you create it. Later workouts do not update that file. Save a new backup after important changes, and keep a copy outside the app before deleting it or changing phones.
What the file contains
The selections shown before export control which workout records, routines, custom exercises, settings, and personal media go into the backup. Review media options if you need your recordings in the file.
Treat a backup as personal information. Choose the destination and recipients carefully. Saving to iCloud Drive or another file service uses that provider; it does not create REPS Pro cloud sync.
If a backup fails
Keep the app installed and keep your existing backup. Check that your iPhone and the destination have enough free space, then try again.
If the problem continues, contact support with the app version and the error message. Do not email your whole backup unless support has explained why it is needed and agreed a suitable way to send it.
Backup and export of your own workout data are part of the Free product policy. Premium is not intended to hold your accumulated records hostage.
